Gift wrap with photos this Christmas!
I’m all about finding ways to get photos off my camera and phone and into real life settings, and this personalised gift wrapping is a perfect opportunity!
It’s a gorgeous way to personalise your gift wrapping, and just think how your loved ones will be chuffed to see such happy faces adorning their presents. You can keep it simple and use this technique at any time of year. Or you can make the look nice and festive with the washi tapes and hand drawn illustrations. Read on for the step by step tutorial...
You will need:
Kraft paper
Clear tape and Scissors
Instax polaroid pics (you can use a polaroid camera, or you can actually get photos printed in polaroid style at Warehouse Stationery)
Washi tape
Marker pens (the Uni Posca pens work well)
Jute twine
You can get all these supplies from Warehouse Stationery.
Step One:
Wrap your gifts in kraft paper.
Step Two:
Stick a photo to the front with a strip of washi tape.
Step Three:
You can now add little drawings in pen. You can tailor these to suit your occassion. For example I did holly and trees to make it Christmassy.
Step Four:
Add some twine and a little bow, and you’re done!
Isn’t that a cute and special way to add a loving touch to your Christmas gifts? I love the retro look with polaroids, but you could totally do this with normal photo prints (cutting them to square could work well).
Have fun wrapping your gifts this Christmas!
Julie xx
